My Story

As a therapist, I can assist you to better understand the connections between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. With this new insight, you can identify problematic ones and challenge, replace, or reframe them. The path to change starts with identifying your underlying needs and finding more effective ways to fulfill them.

I work with adolescents, teens and adults from diverse backgrounds. I am specialized in treating anxiety, depression, life transitions, low self-esteem and grief. I believe that being compassionate and empathetic to my client’s unique experiences are the foundational building blocks of building a strong therapeutic relationship. I value the diversity of my clients and aim to provide culturally competent services. I believe that every client has their unique experiences, therefore deserves a tailored treatment approach.

I have experience in working with people with pregnant women, children and adolescents, crisis, substance use disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, issues of emerging adulthood, life transitions, co-dependency, school, work and relationship issues, and trauma. I also facilitate groups with teens and young adults.

I utilize an integrative approach that combines different therapeutic approaches to best fit each client’s needs and goals. My approach is influenced but not limited to CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic, Psycho therapy, Solution Focused, Strength Based, Interpersonal Therapy, Mindfulness and Strength Based therapy. I also enjoy integrating a creative arts therapy approach and games because it allows my clients to express their own unique thoughts, feelings, and emotions.

“A helping hand is near; you don’t have to do it alone.” Asking for help can be difficult, but it can be the start of your healing journey. Sometimes we try to work on our issues alone but need a little guidance. This is where I come in. I can offer you a safe space, a listening ear, be a support and provide you with the proper
tools you can use to get you through your tough situations.
