My Story

My experience allows me to assist individuals, children, teens and adolescents and women who experience trauma. I help my client with identifying  and working through various areas in their life and developing strategies to problem solve and get through their situation. I help individuals and families to adequately and timely address maladaptive behaviors and fears that are barriers to their mental health status and healthy growth and development.

I specialize in creating an empathic and supportive environment. I will work to empower and guide you to develop healthy coping strategies, deeper more satisfying relationships, and the skills and space to process your emotions and move forward.

I approach therapy through a humanistic, strength-based, trauma-sensitive lens. With compassion, and humor, I have counseled individuals through a variety of life’s challenges, including but not limited to; grief, relationship struggles, domestic violence/abuse, family trauma, sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and severe mental illness.

I utilize an integrative approach that combines different therapeutic approaches to best fit each client’s needs and goals. My approach is influenced but not limited to CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic, Psycho therapy, Solution Focused, Strength Based, Interpersonal Therapy, Mindfulness and Strength Based therapy. I also enjoy integrating a creative arts therapy approach and games because it allows my clients to express their own unique thoughts, feelings, and emotions.  I believe that everyone has a hard time sometimes, and I understand that engaging in effective treatment can help you get through it.
